Head of Digital

Livingston James is delighted to be supporting Fife College to appoint a Head of Digital, providing strategic leadership for the College’s digital environment and driving an ambitious programme of digital transformation.

Reporting to the Assistant Principal - Student Experience and Infrastructure, the Head of Digital will provide vision, leadership and motivational management to specialist teams within Digital Services. The role will lead the development and delivery of the College’s Digital Strategy, ensuring infrastructure, systems, services and end-user technology are efficient, resilient and centred on the needs of users.

A major focus will be leading transformational and behavioural change towards a digital-first approach across Fife College. Working collaboratively with senior colleagues, including the Head of Estates, the successful candidate will help drive the digitalisation of the wider College estate and ensure technology is used effectively to enhance student and colleague experience and deliver organisational value.

The Head of Digital will also hold overall responsibility for the College’s cyber security posture and the management of risks associated with adverse cyber activity. Alongside this, they will provide governance oversight across the digital function, ensuring appropriate policies, procedures, operational plans and resource management are in place.

We are seeking a credible and experienced digital or technology leader with proven experience of managing large and diverse technical teams and successfully delivering transformational change. You will bring strong strategic capability, budget and resource management experience, excellent communication and influencing skills, and a clear understanding of emerging technologies and their practical application.

The role is based at Dunfermline Campus, with travel within Fife and occasional travel across Scotland. The remuneration package is competitive and dependent on experience.
