Head of Distribution, Europe
About the Company
Our client is an established, dual-listed international wealth and asset management group with more than 20 years of industry experience. Its global investment platform offers a broad range of wealth management and asset-allocation solutions, including private equity, private credit, real estate, private-market secondaries, hedge funds and multi-asset strategies. As part of its continued international expansion, the group is seeking a senior distribution leader to develop its client base and market presence across Europe.
The Role
This role will focus specifically on Chinese and Asian HNW/UHNW clients across Europe. The successful candidate will lead client development and distribution activities, build relationships with relevant intermediaries and help shape the firm’s long-term European growth strategy. Native-level Mandarin Chinese and a deep understanding of Chinese client culture are essential requirements for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with Chinese and Asian HNW/UHNW clients across Europe.
- Originate new clients, assets and commercial opportunities.
- Build distribution partnerships with family offices, private banks, IFAs, wealth managers and professional advisers.
- Promote the firm’s global private-market and alternative-investment solutions.
- Identify local client needs and provide market feedback to investment and product teams.
- Develop differentiated distribution strategies for key European markets.
- Represent the firm at private wealth, family office and industry events.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure activities meet relevant local regulatory requirements.
- Support the development of the European team as the business grows.
- Manage commercial targets and report regularly to senior leadership.

Candidate Profile
- Native-level Mandarin Chinese is essential; applications without professional Mandarin fluency will not be considered.
- Professional English proficiency.
- Currently based in the UK or another major European financial centre.
- Significant experience as a Private Banker, Relationship Manager, Wealth Manager or senior investment-distribution professional.
- Proven experience directly managing and originating Chinese or Asian HNW/UHNW client relationships.
- Strong network among Chinese entrepreneurs, internationally mobile families and private investors in Europe.
- Demonstrable track record of generating AUM, revenue or new client relationships.
- Good knowledge of global wealth management, asset allocation and investment products.
- Experience with private equity, private credit, real estate funds or other alternative investments is preferred.
- Entrepreneurial, commercially driven and comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership.
- Relevant European financial-services qualifications and regulatory experience are advantageous.

Location
United Kingdom or another major European financial centre. Regular travel across Europe may be required.
