Role Purpose

The Head of eCommerce Western Europe is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for shaping, owning, and scaling ViewSonic’s eCommerce business across Western Europe (anchored in the UK, Germany, and France).

This position turns a fragmented regional effort into a unified, high-performing multi-channel revenue engine—owning marketplace growth, direct-to-consumer (DTC) strategy, merchandising, digital-shelf excellence, and retail media performance.

The role requires a true merchant mindset with a strong focus on scalable growth, AI-driven discovery, and agentic commerce. Operating with full P&L accountability, the position establishes a consistent, measurable operating system that converts ViewSonic’s brand strength into profitable, repeatable revenue across the region.

Key Responsibilities

E-commerce Strategy, Revenue & Governance

  • Own full accountability for the eCommerce P&L, revenue, growth, and profitability across Western European markets (core markets: UK, Germany, France)
  • Define and establish the regional eCommerce operating model, determining the right channel approach per market (Vendor Central vs. Seller Central) and supporting logistics/fulfillment models (FBA, 3PL, distribution dropship)
  • Drive step-change growth in underdeveloped markets and scale the regional business multi-fold over the medium term
  • Establish KPI discipline, executive reporting, forecasting, and commercial governance to run eCommerce as a rigorous operation
  • Maintain pricing discipline, unified brand presentation, and catalog content across markets while adapting to local dynamics and currencies

Marketplace & Multi-Channel Ownership

  • End-to-end ownership of Amazon (the core anchor), including catalog, listings, A+ content, SEO, promotions, Brand Store, and customer reviews
  • Lead retail media strategy across Amazon Ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC), and DSP—using first-party data for audience expansion, B2B prospecting, and incrementality-based attribution
  • Own and grow direct-to-consumer (DTC) and affiliate monetization programs, driving qualified traffic from owned channels into the ecosystem
  • Scale Amazon Business (B2B) thoughtfully within a channel-friendly model, balancing B2B demand while protecting reseller and distributor relationships

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Agentic Commerce, AI & Automation Governance

  • Lead ViewSonic’s agent-readiness and AI-driven discovery strategy (AEO/GEO), optimizing detail pages and catalog data for natural-language machine recommendation across Amazon and the open web
  • Leverage Amazon’s selling-side agents (Creative Agent and campaign-build tools) while maintaining strict human-in-the-loop oversight
  • Establish automation governance and SP-API compliance in line with Amazon’s seller policies, maintaining audit logs and human authorization for high-impact actions (bulk listings, pricing thresholds)
  • Partner with Legal to ensure data governance and regulatory compliance across GDPR, the EU AI Act, and platform standards as automation scales

Agency, Technology & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Own the regional agency model and technology/platform roadmap, ensuring agency partners and digital tools serve the broader strategy
  • Act as the senior eCommerce voice within regional leadership, building alignment across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to remove operational friction
  • Collaborate with global revenue leadership to adapt and localize proven global operating playbooks for the European market

Leadership & Team Development

  • Assess, develop, and elevate in-country eCommerce capabilities, building a structured regional team in step with market growth
  • Establish clear priorities, operating playbooks, and execution frameworks for distributed teams rather than micromanaging
  • Manage build-versus-borrow decisions for specialized capabilities (e.g., AEO/GEO), leveraging agency partners initially before bringing capabilities in-house
