We're delighted to be partnering with this ambitious ecommerce retailer who are entering an exciting new phase of growth. Having established a successful and sustainable business, the company is now investing in the people, structure and capability needed to scale to the next level.
This is a rare opportunity for a commercially minded leader to shape the future of a business. You'll build and lead a Marketing & Ecommerce function, taking ownership of online commercial strategy while creating the foundations, processes and team that will support long-term growth. Rather than inheriting a fully formed function, you'll play a key role in designing what comes next.
The role:
- Define and deliver the marketing and ecommerce strategy
- Own ecommerce performance, trading, merchandising and conversion optimisation
- Drive customer acquisition across paid media, SEO and emerging channels (£multi-million spend)
- Lead brand strategy, creative direction, product content and customer proposition with the support of 3rd parties
- Develop CRM and lifecycle marketing strategy to improve retention and customer value
- Manage external agency partners
- Forecast budgets, measuring commercial performance and reporting to senior leadership
- Work closely with operations, finance, product and customer teams to maximise commercial performance

The person:
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a senior ecommerce role within a DTC or retail business.
- They will be commercially minded, comfortable owning budgets and performance, and excited by the opportunity to build capability as well as deliver results.
- Please note, this is a scaling business and this hire will not inherit a large existing team.
- This role will suit someone with experience in a start-up / scale-up environment who is excited by the prospect of building something special.
