Location: London
Working pattern: 4 days in office, 1 day WFH
Employment type: Full-time
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + up to 30% performance-related bonus
Total potential package: Up to £104,000
About Pulsio
Pulsio is a fast-growing premium sports recovery and wellness brand, selling directly to customers across the UK and Europe. We’re looking for an experienced Head of E-commerce to take ownership of our online commercial performance and help drive the next stage of growth.
The Role
This is a senior, commercially focused role responsible for Pulsio’s e-commerce performance.
You will own marketing performance and strategy, CRO and customer experience, while working closely with our internal Design and Brand team and specialist external agencies across paid media, email, CRO and development.
You’ll act as the internal commercial lead, ensuring teams and partners are aligned around the right priorities and focused on activity that drives revenue, conversion and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
E-commerce, Trading & CRO
- Own the commercial performance of Pulsio’s UK and European e-commerce stores.
- Drive improvements across revenue, conversion rate, average order value and revenue per session.
- Own the CRO and experimentation roadmap across landing pages, product pages, navigation, offers and checkout.
- Identify friction throughout the customer journey and prioritise improvements based on commercial impact.
- Own online trading, merchandising, bundles, promotions and key landing pages.
- Coordinate seasonal campaigns, promotional periods and product launches.
- Identify opportunities to improve cross-sell, upsell and average order value.
- Build and manage an e-commerce roadmap focused on sustainable and profitable growth.

Website & Customer Experience
- Own the digital customer journey across Shopify Plus.
- Continuously improve product discovery, navigation, PDPs, collections and checkout.
- Ensure mobile performance is considered across all website activity.
- Work with internal Design and external development partners to deliver high-quality improvements.
- Prioritise development resources based on customer impact and expected commercial return.
- Use customer behaviour, testing data and qualitative insights to inform decisions.
Paid Media, Email & Agency Performance
- Act as the key internal commercial contact across paid media, CRO, email and development partners.
- Review performance across ROAS, blended ROAS, CAC, MER and wider marketing efficiency.
- Connect paid media performance with website conversion, landing pages, offers and customer behaviour.
- Review email performance across campaigns, automated flows and customer segments.
- Identify opportunities to improve repeat purchase, retention and customer lifetime value.
- Set clear priorities and expectations for external partners and hold them accountable for agreed actions.
- Challenge agency recommendations constructively and ensure activity remains commercially focused.
Brand, Design & Creative Collaboration
- Work closely with Pulsio’s internal Design and Brand team to ensure e-commerce activity supports wider brand objectives.
- Bring customer, website and performance insights into campaign and creative discussions.
- Contribute to brainstorming around messaging, customer hooks, offers and creative angles.
- Share learnings from website behaviour, customer feedback and campaign performance.
- Help ensure consistency across paid media, landing pages, product pages, email and the wider brand experience.
- Provide clear commercial context when briefing website and campaign creative.

Analytics & Commercial Planning
- Maintain clear reporting across key e-commerce and marketing metrics.
- Track revenue, conversion rate, AOV, revenue per session, ROAS, CAC, MER and retention performance.
- Use tools such as Shopify, GA4, Meta, email platforms, heatmaps and experimentation tools.
- Translate data into clear commercial recommendations and actions.
- Work with leadership on revenue planning, promotional strategy and wider commercial priorities.
- Communicate key opportunities, risks and performance trends clearly to the leadership team.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant experience in a senior e-commerce role within a DTC or consumer brand.
- Strong experience working with Shopify Plus.
- Proven track record of improving online revenue and conversion rate.
- Strong understanding of CRO, experimentation and customer journeys.
- Good understanding of paid media economics, including ROAS, CAC and MER.
- Experience managing external paid media, CRO, email and development partners.
- Strong commercial and analytical judgement.
- Experience working collaboratively with internal Design, Brand or Creative teams.
- Ability to turn performance data and customer insight into clear actions.
- Comfortable challenging agencies and making commercially focused decisions.
- Highly proactive and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-moving environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience within health, fitness, wellness or consumer electronics.
- Experience using heatmaps, session recordings and customer research.
- Experience scaling a high-growth DTC business.
