Head of Ecommerce (DTC) – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 + Bonus & Benefits

Location: C.London | Hybrid (2-3 days per week)

We're working with an internationally recognised consumer brand preparing to launch an exciting new direct-to-consumer proposition. This isn't a traditional maternity cover - it's an opportunity to lead one of the business's most exciting strategic projects during a pivotal launch period. You'll join a supportive team with the freedom to influence decisions, shape the customer experience and build a commercially successful DTC business from the ground up.

The Head of Ecommerce will take ownership of the final stages of a brand-new ecommerce launch before leading the first year of commercial trading. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team and managing one direct report, you'll work closely with brand, commercial, global and agency partners to create a market-leading customer experience whilst driving sustainable commercial growth.

Role Highlights

  • Lead the final stages of a brand-new DTC website launch, refining content, creative execution, product presentation and the overall customer journey before go-live.
  • Own the commercial trading strategy, driving sales, customer acquisition, conversion, retention, profitability and long-term growth.
  • Manage promotions, merchandising, pricing, bundles and the trading calendar, making agile commercial decisions based on customer behaviour and performance.
  • Build a connected digital ecosystem across CRM, paid media, SEO, affiliates and social, working closely with agency partners to deliver an integrated acquisition, conversion and retention strategy.
  • Partner daily with development agencies, brand teams, commercial stakeholders and global colleagues, helping shape recommendations and bringing new ideas to life quickly.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • A hands-on, entrepreneurial approach gained within an SME, challenger brand, founder-led business or high-growth scale-up where ambiguity and pace are the norm.
