Films for Humanity

Films for Humanity is a London film studio making powerful short films for small charities, free of charge. We are building a small, strong board for 2027 and need a partnerships lead to take our films into schools and communities. 3–5 hours a week, remote-friendly.

What difference will you make?

Small charities do extraordinary work, but most cannot afford to tell their story on film. Films for Humanity changes that. We make free, professionally produced films for charities with an income under £150,000, and we take those films into schools to start conversations with young people.

A film can open a conversation that a lesson alone cannot. Your work will bring issues like mental health, domestic violence, and kindness into classrooms with honesty and care, helping young people understand, question, and act.

Your work will also connect us with the charities and communities we exist to serve. Every relationship you build could lead to a free film for a small charity that would never otherwise have one, and our ambition is to support twelve charities a year.

The evidence you gather from teachers, students, and charities will show funders the real difference our films make, which in turn funds more films.

You will also build something lasting. As we form our first full board and register our charity, you will set up the schools programme, the community relationships, and the team that Films for Humanity will rely on for years to come.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a self-starter who builds relationships, follows through, and makes things happen, without waiting to be asked. Our founder leads the creative direction; you will lead our education and community work, with the freedom and trust to shape it your way.

Most important

  • A proven self-starter who can work independently, set their own priorities, and deliver on what they commit to
  • Experience in education, youth work, community engagement, or the charity sector, and confidence building relationships with schools, teachers, and charities
  • The ability to build and lead a small, efficient volunteer team, with clear roles and simple systems so the work keeps moving
  • Confidence working in a CRM every day (ideally GoHighLevel, or similar such as HubSpot or Salesforce) to track every contact, conversation, and follow-up

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Also valuable

  • An understanding of safeguarding when working with young people (a DBS check will be required for this role)
  • Experience organizing events, screenings, or workshops
  • Knowledge of the London school or charity landscape
  • A warm, patient approach, and a commitment to handling sensitive subjects with care and dignity

You do not need to have been a trustee before; we will give you a full induction. We warmly welcome applicants with lived experience of the issues our films address, such as mental health, domestic violence, or conversion therapy, and people from backgrounds under-represented in education, film, and media.

Hybrid

What will you be doing?

Films for Humanity has produced six films since 2019, on mental health, domestic violence, drunk driving, kindness, Black history, and conversion therapy. In 2026 we rebranded from Filming for Humanity and are now forming a four-person leadership board for 2027—a Head of Marketing, a Head of Grants, a Head of Brand & Industry Partnerships, and a Head of Education & Community Partnerships, working alongside our founder and creative director.

Our films are made to start conversations, and the most important ones happen in classrooms and communities. We have already built The Lens of Humanity, an educational toolkit for schools, and a list of schools and charities to approach. What we need is someone to turn that into lasting partnerships. That is where you come in.

  • Organize screenings and discussions in schools and communities, in person and online
  • Build relationships with small charities who could benefit from our free Impact Film Programme
  • Gather feedback and evidence of impact from teachers, students, and charity partners
  • Build and lead a small volunteer team, starting with a schools outreach volunteer
  • Use our CRM (GoHighLevel) to manage every contact, conversation, and follow-up
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing on community stories, and with the Head of Grants, who will use your impact evidence in funding applications
  • Join one online board meeting a month (60–90 minutes)

How our structure works

Films for Humanity currently operates as a Community Interest Company (CIC), and we are registering a charity alongside it in 2027. Our schools and community work will sit with the charity once it is registered. You will sit on the CIC's advisory board from day one and be invited to become a founding trustee of the charity once it is registered. We will keep the two roles clearly separated, and you will never be asked to act for one organisation at the expense of the other.

This is a rare chance to shape how a young film studio reaches the next generation.
