About Us

Spartek ECS Ltd is a growing East Anglia contractor delivering electrical installations, solar PV and battery storage, and fire safety systems for homes and businesses.

We are NICEIC approved and hold MCS and SafeContractor accreditations. The electrical side of the business has grown into employed electricians, improvers, apprentices, contracts managers and approved subcontractors. The Managing Director is covering Head of Electrical. We now need a dedicated lead to own delivery, standards, people and commercial performance of the electrical division.

The Role

You will lead Spartek’s electrical contracting function. You report to the Managing Director and sit on the leadership team alongside Head of Energy and Head of Operations.

You will manage the Electrical Contracts Managers and, through them, supervisors, site electricians, improvers, apprentices and approved electrical subcontractors. The job is both in the office and on site: programming work, winning and delivering contracts, keeping NICEIC standards tight, and making sure jobs are safe, profitable and finished properly.

This is not a desk-only title. You will be visible to clients, site teams and the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical division day to day and set the standard for quality, safety and customer service
  • Manage Electrical Contracts Managers and support supervisors and site teams
  • Plan labour: employed electricians, improvers, apprentices and approved subcontractors
  • Oversee contracts from enquiry and handover through to completion, snagging and sign-off
  • Work with estimating / QS so quotes, variations and final accounts stack up
  • Protect margin: labour, materials, prelims, variations and programme
  • Keep works compliant with BS 7671, Building Regulations, NICEIC and company procedures
  • Own electrical quality: first-fix, second-fix, testing, certification and client handover
  • Lead and develop apprentices and improvers; support competence and ECS cards
  • Manage approved electrical subcontractors: workload, quality, paperwork and payment information
  • Work with Head of Operations on programming, vans, materials and site coordination
  • Work with Head of Energy where electrical and solar works sit on the same project
  • Report to the MD on workload, risk, people and commercial performance
  • Help build the electrical pipeline with sales and existing clients
  • Champion health and safety on every electrical job

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
