Head of Employment

Warwickshire | National Law Firm | Leadership Opportunity

Are you an experienced Employment Lawyer looking for the opportunity to take the lead of an established and busy team?

This could be an excellent opportunity to join a national law firm in Warwickshire and take responsibility for a successful Employment practice with an existing client base and strong pipeline of work.

This is a genuine leadership opportunity for a lawyer who wants to play a key role in shaping the future direction of an established team, whilst continuing to develop their own practice and profile.

The Opportunity

The firm is looking to appoint a Head of Employment to lead an already busy and well-established team.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and development of the department, working closely with the wider firm's leadership team to identify opportunities for continued growth.

The team already has an excellent platform, meaning you can focus on leading, developing and growing the practice, rather than starting from scratch.

Your role will include:

  • Leading and developing an established Employment team
  • Managing a high-quality caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Advising a broad range of businesses and organisations
  • Developing and strengthening existing client relationships
  • Identifying opportunities for further business development and growth
  • Acting as a key point of contact for major clients
  • Mentoring and developing junior members of the team
  • Supporting recruitment as the department continues to grow
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm's national network
  • Raising the profile of the Employment team within the Warwickshire market

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
