About this role

As our central legal thought leader for employment and labour matters, you will lead the strategic alignment of Human Resources (HR) and legal frameworks across our global markets. Joining our dynamic Central Legal team, you will act as a key partner to senior stakeholders, embodying our core values to Lead, Deliver, and Care as you build legal guardrails, support employee relations, and protect our global people strategy.

Key components of the position:

  • Lead central legal support for global employment and labour matters, translating strategic HR goals into effective legal frameworks.
  • Partner closely with senior HR and management teams on employee relations, reorganisations, disciplinary matters, and litigation strategies.
  • Define clear employment law guidance, templates, and guardrails for recurring people processes and complex case management.
  • Oversee legal support for works councils and labour authorities, managing central escalations and approvals.
  • Monitor international employment legal developments and translate regulatory changes into actionable policies and playbooks.
  • Coordinate external counsel and manage complex transnational reorganisations in an efficient, consistent manner across all markets.
  • Lead and coach the employment legal team, empowering team members while maintaining high-quality delivery standards.

What will you bring to the team?

  • Full legal qualification with proven expertise in employment and labour law within a multi-country environment.
  • Strong judgement on contentious people matters, labour relations, and workforce risk management.
  • Proven capability advising HR and executive leaders on complex, non-routine employment scenarios.
  • Ability to translate complex legal regulations into clear, practical guidance, playbooks, and organizational policies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating across HR, market leadership, and central legal teams.
  • Experience overseeing external counsel engagement, labour authority relations, and complex litigation handling.
  • Collaborative leadership and coaching capabilities focused on supporting and developing team members.
