The Role

This Series A company builds an open-source analytics platform. They help data teams manage metrics as code, turning a dbt project into a full BI solution. The result: everyone in the business gets self-serve analytics. They're backed by leading investors and growing fast.

You'll lead a dozen engineers, working alongside the CTO. This isn't a pure management role; you'll still be hands-on, shipping code. Your mandate is velocity: coaching, unblocking, making quick architecture and security calls. You'll own developer experience and tooling, setting the pace for the entire team. Expect to ship fast, learn faster, and own reliability in public.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The Work

  • Coach and unblock engineers daily, fostering extreme team velocity.
  • Make rapid architecture and security decisions that cut complexity, not add process.
  • Own the developer experience, tooling, and workflows that define how fast the team can move.
  • Stay hands-on, contributing code and driving product delivery in an open-source environment.
  • Own reliability and SLAs, balancing trust with a mandate for rapid iteration and shipping.

What You Bring

  • You've led engineers in a fast-moving startup or scaleup, as a Head of Engineering, EM, founder, or tech lead, and you've stayed hands-on.
  • You've taken a product from 0 to 1 or through hyper-growth, making imperfect decisions quickly.
  • You have strong architecture instincts and solid security knowledge, using them to cut complexity.
  • You treat developer experience as the main lever on team speed, and you've built the tooling and workflows that prove it.
  • You own monitoring, observability, and performance as part of shipping fast, not as a later cleanup.
