About the Job
The Head of Engineering Delivery manages Monterosa's delivery engineering team, comprising engineering leads and engineers with different levels of experience. The team designs and builds fan-engagement experiences for our customers (major sports and entertainment organisations) and their fans.

Our solutions are built on Monterosa / Interaction Cloud and based on Monterosa products (FanKit, Proxima, Loyalty Layer for example). Our delivery engineering team integrates these products into customer environments and provides custom functionality and new production features. We do this using AI tooling and Monterosa’s unique Velocity spec-driven development pipeline.
This is both a management role requiring deep technical expertise and a hands-on problem-solving role. You will lead by example and lean on your significant experience as a developer, engineering lead, and technical architect. Your goal is to get the most out of your team and ensure you both have fun and learn in the process.
What You Will Be Doing

The role covers end-to-end delivery, both front-end and back-end, for all Monterosa customer engagements, using Velocity, our spec-driven development pipeline, and involves:
- Technical delivery of customer projects, front-end and back-end
- Management, development and performance of Engineering Leads and engineers in the delivery team
- Oversight of technical architecture of all customer projects
- Upholding engineering quality standards, code review discipline and defect resolution
- Velocity adoption and evolution within the delivery team
- Technical escalation and incident management for live customer issues arising from delivery work
- Capacity planning, resourcing and utilisation across concurrent projects (Supporting Delivery Operations Manager)
