Head of Engineering & Technology
Atyourtime Group | UK | Senior Technology Leadership | Equity Remunerated
About Atyourtime
Atyourtime is building technology around trust, verification, accountability and operational intelligence across the digital and physical world. Our portfolio spans secure Tag & Scan verification, enterprise SaaS and white label solutions, AI enabled platforms, growth technology and the technology supporting Atyourtime Secured Food Delivery.
As our platforms move through testing, UAT and towards commercial launch, we are looking for an experienced Head of Engineering & Technology to take ownership of engineering delivery, technical architecture, DevOps and IT governance across the Group. This is not a purely managerial role. We need someone who can lead a technical team, make sound architectural decisions and still get their hands dirty when required.
What You'll Own
You will take day to day responsibility for the technology function, including:
- Engineering and technical delivery across our platforms
- Leadership and management of developers, engineers and external technical resources
- Application and microservices architecture, APIs, databases, integrations and distributed services
- DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, release management, automation and deployment processes
- AWS cloud environments, infrastructure, monitoring, availability, resilience, backup and disaster recovery
- Enterprise solution architecture and the technical design of scalable SaaS, white label and customer solutions
- SDLC across development, QA, UAT, staging and production
- IT governance, information security, access management, change control, incident management and technology risk
- Engineering standards covering code quality, testing, documentation, source control and technical debt
- Technical integrations with third party platforms and enterprise partners
- Technology roadmap, engineering priorities, resource allocation and delivery planning
- Technical due diligence and architecture discussions with enterprise customers, partners and future investors

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You will work closely with the Founder & CEO, Product leadership and the wider management team to ensure that business and product requirements translate into secure, scalable and commercially viable technology.
Our Technology Environment
You should have strong practical experience across:
- C# / .NET
- React
- React Native
- Node.js
- REST APIs
- Microservices Architecture
- AWS
- DevOps
- CI/CD
- Linux
- Git
- Mobile & Web Applications
- Enterprise Solutions
- Third Party Integrations
- Identity & RBAC
Experience with event driven architecture, observability, application security, infrastructure automation and AI integrations would also be valuable. We don't expect you to be an expert in every technology. We do expect strong engineering fundamentals, enterprise architecture experience and enough technical depth to review code, challenge decisions, troubleshoot difficult issues and step directly into delivery when necessary.
Who We're Looking For
You may currently be a Head of Engineering, Head of Technology, Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, Solutions Architect, Lead Architect or Senior/Principal Engineer ready for broader technology leadership.
We are particularly interested in someone who has:
- Led multidisciplinary engineering teams and technical resources
- Designed and delivered enterprise grade solutions
- Strong practical knowledge of microservices and API first architecture
- Strong AWS and DevOps experience
- Managed production applications and cloud environments
- Implemented engineering governance and mature SDLC practices
- Strong understanding of security, resilience, monitoring and disaster recovery
- Experience taking technology from development through QA, UAT and into production
- The ability to balance immediate delivery with long term architecture and scalability
Above all, we need someone with a builder's mentality. You will inherit technology, people and decisions already in motion. We need someone capable of quickly understanding what exists, strengthening what works, fixing what doesn't and building the engineering discipline required for commercial scale.

Pathway to Group CTO
There is currently no Group CTO in place. We are deliberately recruiting at Head of Engineering & Technology level because we want the successful individual to demonstrate their ability to lead technology, engineering delivery and governance across the business. For an exceptional individual, there is a genuine pathway to Group CTO, based on delivery, leadership, technical judgement and impact.
Important: Please Read Before Applying
We want to be completely transparent from the outset.
This is currently an equity remunerated senior leadership role during our pre revenue stage. There is no immediate cash salary attached to the position. The successful candidate will participate in Atyourtime's standard equity and vesting framework. As the business progresses into sustainable revenue or appropriate funding, the intention is for the role to transition into an appropriately salaried technology leadership position through a separate employment arrangement. If you require an immediate salary, please do not apply. This opportunity is intended for someone who understands the realities of joining a startup at this stage, has the capacity to contribute meaningfully and sees the opportunity to help build the technology organisation rather than simply inherit one.
How to Apply
Please send your CV to careers@atyourtimetechnology.com Subject: Application: Head of Engineering & Technology Please confirm in your application that you have read and are comfortable with the equity remuneration structure before progressing to interview.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to take ownership of technology at an important stage of Atyourtime's journey and potentially grow into leading technology across the Group as CTO.
