About the Business:
This company are a leading name in the food manufacturing industry. We are looking for a dynamic Head of Engineering to lead their engineering team and drive strategic initiatives at their site in Birmingham.
The Role:
As the Head of Engineering, you will be at the forefront of their engineering operations, ensuring the smooth running of the site. This role is perfect for a seasoned engineering professional with a strong technical background and leadership experience. You will oversee a team of 34 engineers, manage the PPM schedules & CAPEX plan, and work closely with operations and new product development to align factory capabilities with their innovative product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the engineering strategy, focusing on proactive rather than reactive measures.
- Oversee effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
- Collaborate with operations and NPD teams to introduce new products.
- Manage the CAPEX plan for the site.
- Ensure the smooth operation of typical FMCG machinery, including conveyors and fabrication facilities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Senior Leadership Team or Head of Engineering Experience within a similar manufacturing environment.
- Strong background leading engineering strategy and CAPEX
- Strong technical background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams.
- Comfortable with fabrication and buildings maintenance.
- Ideally, experience within a similar-sized business or operation within FMCG or Food Manufacturing.
