About the opportunity
Via is partnering with a leading global business intelligence and data provider to recruit a Head of Enterprise Sales.
You'll lead an outbound sales team across the UK and US, with responsibility for two major areas of growth: winning new enterprise customers and increasing revenue within existing accounts.
The business provides specialist data, intelligence and subscription products to professionals across global investment and financial markets. You'll lead the commercial strategy for identifying high-value prospects, building enterprise pipeline and expanding relationships with existing customers.
This is a hands-on leadership role. Alongside coaching your team, you'll shape territories and target-account strategy, run pipeline and forecast reviews and step into important deals to support pricing, negotiation and closing.
What you'll be doing
- Lead, coach and develop an outbound enterprise sales team across the UK and US
- Drive performance against individual and team revenue targets
- Own the strategy for acquiring new enterprise customers
- Build a predictable outbound pipeline across target accounts
- Define territories and prioritise the strongest commercial opportunities
- Develop account-based prospecting strategies for high-value organisations
- Monitor target-account coverage, pipeline creation and conversion
- Coach sales representatives across prospecting, discovery, multi-threading, negotiation and closing
- Get involved directly in high-value and complex enterprise deals
- Support pricing and commercial negotiations
- Develop strategies to increase revenue across existing customers
- Identify untapped teams, departments and products within established accounts
- Work closely with Account Management around customer renewals and expansion opportunities
- Run regular pipeline and forecasting reviews
- Maintain strong CRM discipline and accurate sales forecasting
- Work with Marketing to improve lead generation and outbound campaigns
- Collaborate with Product and other teams to support customer requirements and commercial opportunities

What we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced B2B sales leader who knows how to generate enterprise pipeline, develop salespeople and close complex deals.
You'll ideally have:
- 3+ years' experience managing B2B sales teams
- A track record of leading salespeople against individual quotas and delivering team targets
- Strong experience generating new-business pipeline through outbound sales
- Experience selling into enterprise organisations
- Experience with territory planning, target-account strategies and account-based prospecting
- Confidence coaching salespeople across the full sales cycle
- Experience navigating complex organisations with multiple stakeholders and decision-makers
- Strong commercial judgement around pricing and negotiation
- Confidence stepping into live deals and helping your team progress opportunities
- Experience growing existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling or expansion
- Strong pipeline management and forecasting skills
- Experience using Dynamics 365 or another major CRM
- The ability to lead and motivate a distributed sales team across UK and US markets

Experience within data, analytics, SaaS, business intelligence, research, financial information, subscription products or information services would be particularly relevant.
Knowledge of private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure or wider private markets would be an advantage, but isn't essential. Strong enterprise sales leadership and the ability to learn a specialist market are more important.
