Salary: 80-100k, Car/Allowance, bonus, pension

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for a senior Health & Safety leader to head up the health, safety and wellbeing function on a flagship overhead line infrastructure project in Scotland.
This role offers the opportunity to provide visible leadership across a major project environment, influencing project teams, senior stakeholders and supply chain partners whilst driving a strong safety culture and delivering the organisation's Zero Harm objectives. Reporting into the Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing (Scotland), you will play a key role in shaping project performance and supporting wider business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of the project and business unit Zero Harm strategy.
- Manage and develop HS&W professionals through coaching, mentoring and leadership.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, regulators, joint venture partners and supply chain stakeholders.
- Lead compliance reviews, site tours, audits and assurance activities across project operations.
- Conduct performance reviews using leading and lagging indicators to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead investigations into incidents, accidents and near misses, ensuring lessons learned are effectively communicated.
- Deputise for the Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing (Scotland) when required.
- Support business-wide HS&W improvement initiatives and behavioural safety programmes.
- Drive a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across the project lifecycle.

Requirements
- NEBOSH Diploma or NCRQ qualification.
- Chartered IOSH membership (or working towards).
- Extensive knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and CDM regulations.
- Strong background within construction, utilities, infrastructure or major project environments.
- Proven experience operating at a senior leadership level.
- Experience providing strategic support to operational and functional leadership teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability.
