Reporting to the Head of Technical Solutions, this individual will lead the Environmental Business

The Job Holder will have overall responsibility for operational, technical, and strategic aspects of Environmental.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute on our strategic growth plans
  • Lead with a people-centric approach around employee engagement and experience with a focus on hiring, retaining, and developing top talent.
  • Drive a culture based on collaboration and accountability to lead through strong communication, empowerment, reward, and coaching.
  • Translate the strategy into practical plans while partnering cross-functionally with peers who can affect change.
  • Deliver operational excellence and efficiencies to maintain and drive margin through the team.
  • Product development, Value Proposition, and new markets for growth to be identified to support the strategy.
  • Work in conjunction with the Finance Department in developing draft budgets and have overall responsibility for financial performance.
  • Generate a client-centric culture.
  • Ensure best in market service and quality delivery.
  • Create and implement innovation inc IT i.e. digital solutions.
  • Succession Planning & training requirements with L&D.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Criteria

Leadership & People Management

  • Ability to motivate staff and set objectives and strategy to achieve growth.
  • Strong people management experience.
  • Ability to lead and grow the Environmental business.
  • Role modelling leadership behaviours to enhance the Crawford brand and internal culture.
  • Leader rather than a manager.
  • Own it, do it – takes total accountability for performance.

Industry & Technical Knowledge

  • Previous experience leading a specialist environmental consulting or loss adjusting business.
  • Deep understanding of the insurance industry.
  • Proven track record in operations management.
  • Strong operational background.

Commercial & Financial Management

  • Proven experience in driving Gross Profit contribution and achieving financial targets.
  • Previous experience leading a specialist environmental consulting or loss adjusting business.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse financial management reports.
  • Track record of delivering results.

  • Experience developing long-term growth strategies and market expansion plans.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders at executive level.
