Role Description
The Head of Equities will lead the firm’s equities strategy, overseeing research, idea generation, and portfolio implementation across global equity markets. This full-time, on-site role based in London involves managing equity portfolios, directing trading activity, and ensuring consistent application of risk management frameworks. The Head of Equities will collaborate with senior leadership on firm-wide strategy, contribute to macro and geopolitical analysis where relevant to equity markets, and develop internal processes, tools, and documentation to support scalable, high-conviction investing. The role also includes:
- Mentoring team members
- Presenting investment views to stakeholders
- Maintaining strong market awareness through continuous monitoring of news, data, and regulatory developments
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Equities and Investments, with a track record of leading equity strategies and generating risk-adjusted returns.
- Proficiency in Trading and Portfolio Management, including order execution, position sizing, risk controls, and performance monitoring.
- Deep knowledge of Finance, including valuation methods, financial statement analysis, capital markets, and macroeconomic concepts.
- Experience integrating fundamental and quantitative research into cohesive investment processes and decision-making frameworks.
- Advanced analytical skills, ideally supported by experience with financial modeling, data analysis tools, and portfolio analytics.
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities, including mentoring, stakeholder engagement, and clear presentation of complex ideas.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CFA or equivalent) are beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in London, operate in a high-accountability environment, and maintain high ethical standards and regulatory awareness.
