Oplu is leading the search for a Head of Events at a confidential British not-for-profit organisation in central London.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will develop, produce, and deliver a 30+ event annual programme spanning business, social, sporting, and major set-piece occasions.

This is a full-time, permanent role, 35 hours per week, with a minimum of four days per week in the office. £50,000 gross per annum + benefits.

The role

  • Full event process ownership from concept to completion.
  • 30+ events per year across business, social, sporting, and major set-piece occasions.
  • Full budget design and management, working with the Head of Finance.
  • Line management of the Events and Marketing Officer.
  • Marketing and communications for the events programme.
  • Sustainability programme development.
  • Stakeholder engagement with members, partners, and the organisation’s President.

The brief

  • Proven senior event management experience, including programming, budgeting, on-site delivery, marketing, and supplier management.
  • Marketing development experience, online and offline.
  • Senior project management experience.
  • Some people management experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management to senior and C-suite level.
  • Website content management confidence.
  • Salesforce experience is a strong advantage.
  • B2B or membership-organisation events experience is a strong advantage.
  • Right to live and work in the UK.

Compensation
