Head of Executive Communications, People Organisation
Opportunity to join a global technology leader in a high-profile executive communications role, partnering directly with senior leadership to shape communications around one of the most significant transformation agendas in the business.
Reporting to the VP Corporate Communications, this role serves as the strategic communications partner to the Chief People Officer, leading integrated communications across internal, executive and external channels. Combining strategic counsel with hands-on delivery, the Head of Executive Communications will play a critical role in building engagement, strengthening leadership visibility and supporting organisational transformation on a global scale.
Fully remote role – 3 months +
Day rate c. £600-£800 (negotiable)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the integrated communications strategy for the People organisation, aligned to business priorities and corporate objectives.
- Build forward-looking communications plans that support key milestones, transformation programmes and organisational change initiatives.
- Act as the trusted communications adviser to the Chief People Officer, providing strategic counsel on positioning, messaging and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop executive communications content including speeches, presentations, thought leadership, internal communications and social media content.
- Prepare senior leaders for high-profile engagements including media interviews, industry events and employee communications.
- Lead communications for major people and transformation programmes, helping to drive understanding, engagement and adoption.
- Ensure alignment between People communications and the broader corporate narrative across all channels.
- Partner with internal communications, media relations, content and agency teams to deliver integrated campaigns and programmes.
- Support the development of employer reputation and thought leadership around the future of work, talent and culture.
- Manage communications around sensitive issues and organisational change, maintaining employee trust and protecting reputation.
- Provide strategic communications support to the wider People leadership team on key business initiatives.

Skills & Experience:

- Extensive senior communications experience within large, complex or global organisations.
- Strong track record delivering transformation, change and executive communications programmes.
- Experience acting as a trusted adviser and strategic partner to C-suite leaders.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills across internal, executive and external communications.
- Strong understanding of organisational transformation and employee engagement.
- Experience developing integrated communications strategies across multiple channels.
- Commercial awareness and sound judgement when managing sensitive or high-profile issues.
- Confident using AI tools to support research, content development and communications planning.
- Experience within technology, telecommunications or B2B environments would be advantageous.
