A growing independent Scottish premium spirits distillery is seeking an experienced, remote-based Head of Export Sales to lead its next phase of international growth.
This is a senior commercial appointment for someone who already understands international spirits distribution, has an established network and can deliver results from day one.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the existing export business, grow distributor performance, develop new markets, and convert opportunities into profitable revenue and sustainable orders.
The role also offers the opportunity to help build the international platform for the future launch of a premium Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the international sales strategy and export revenue.
- Grow existing distributor and import partner relationships.
- Identify and develop new market opportunities.
- Secure new distributors and strategic accounts.
- Leverage an established international network to accelerate new business.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and distribution agreements while protecting margin and brand positioning.
- Develop market plans and revenue targets across priority territories.
- Support distributors, customers, launches, and negotiations through regular international travel.
- Work closely with Brand & Marketing, Finance, and Operations on activation, forecasting, stock, pricing, and commercial planning.

What We're Looking For
- Significant senior-level experience in international premium spirits sales.
- An established network of distributors, importers, and key customers.
- A proven track record of winning new business and delivering export revenue.
- Strong experience managing and growing international distributor relationships.
- Excellent knowledge of premium spirits, ideally including Scotch whisky.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and financial skills.
- Understanding of international route-to-market models.
