About the Role

The SWC FabLab is looking for a collaborative, strategic leader to head our state-of-the-art fabrication facility and highly skilled team.

You’ll lead the development of innovative, bespoke technologies that enable cutting-edge neuroscience research - from virtual reality and behavioural monitoring to advanced microscopy and novel instrumentation.

Working closely with researchers, students and scientific staff, you’ll oversee complex projects from rapid prototyping through to advanced manufacturing, while championing our MakerSpace and fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration and technical excellence.

About You

You’re a collaborative, technically skilled leader with a track record of building strong relationships and delivering successful research outcomes.

You’ll have experience in the conception, design and manufacture of scientific instrumentation, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and teams.
