Hybrid | Colchester | £70,000 - £90,000 + Bonus & Excellent Benefits
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Facade Engineering to join a growing multidisciplinary consultancy at an exciting stage of its development.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior façade specialist looking to take ownership of a department, lead a team, influence strategy, and drive the growth of an established façade engineering service. You'll play a key role in delivering complex projects, developing client relationships, mentoring engineers, and helping shape the future direction of the business.
The Role
- Lead the delivery and quality assurance of façade engineering projects across all RIBA stages.
- Act as the technical authority for façade engineering within the business.
- Develop technical standards, processes, and best practices.
- Mentor and support engineers at all levels.
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Support business development, bids, and service growth initiatives.
- Contribute to recruitment, team development, and wider business strategy.
- Work closely with related disciplines to deliver integrated project solutions.

What We're Looking For
- Significant experience within façade engineering consultancy.
- Strong technical knowledge of façade performance, compliance, and regulations.
- Proven track record delivering projects through design and construction phases.
- Experience leading technical teams and reviewing the work of others.
- Strong client management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Commercial awareness and consultancy project delivery experience.
- Chartered status, or actively working towards chartership.
Desirable
- Experience leading or growing a façade engineering team.
- Knowledge of EWS1, FRAEW, cladding compliance, and remediation projects.
- Experience winning work and contributing to business growth.
- Involvement with CWCT or other recognised industry bodies.
