Head Of Facilities Management – Build a Best-in-Class Facilities Function | London Based Scale-Up | Up to £95k + Car + Bonus + Package
Cracking opportunity for a seasoned Facilities leader to join one of London's most exciting scale-ups as it enters the next stage of its growth journey. They're ambitious. They're investing heavily. They're growing quickly. With an estate of 30 premium sites already established and significant expansion plans ahead, they're now looking for someone to help shape what comes next.
That's where you come in.
This isn't a traditional Head of Facilities role. Nor is it a corporate one. This isn't a role for someone who's become comfortable managing suppliers from behind a laptop, and it certainly isn't aimed at career corporate Facilities leaders who've spent years navigating governance meetings, approval chains and endless layers of process. We're looking for ambitious scale-up operators. Founder-minded Facilities leaders who are energised by transformation, execution and growth. People who've lived through the growing pains of scaling businesses before, know exactly what that feels like and come alive in environments where things move quickly.
This is a Facilities mandate sitting at the intersection of operational leadership, people development, estate growth and operational excellence. You'll be responsible for evolving the Facilities function into a highly accountable, high-performing operation capable of supporting a rapidly growing premium business. This isn't about fixing a broken department. It's about taking something that's already good and making it genuinely exceptional.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The successful candidate will almost certainly carry a few operational scars. You've probably spent your career in businesses where the pace is relentless, standards matter and there's nowhere to hide when something goes wrong. You've learned that great Facilities leadership isn't about sitting behind a desk managing suppliers—it's about being visible, making decisions, inspiring and developing people, and creating environments that teams are genuinely proud to work in.
You'll almost certainly have built your career within premium, customer or guest-facing businesses where the quality of the environment is inseparable from the quality of the customer experience. Hospitality. Private healthcare. Luxury care. Premium private education. Best in class Health & fitness. Private members' clubs. The sector itself isn't the important part - the environment is. Because exceptional environments don't happen by accident. You'll understand that beautifully presented, immaculately maintained estates aren't created through compliance manuals or maintenance schedules alone. They're built by leaders who develop outstanding teams, create accountability and obsess over standards every single day.

We're not over-indexing on job title prestige or hierarchy. We're looking for genuine operational Facilities leaders. People who'd rather spend a day walking sites than sitting in back-to-back Teams meetings. Leaders who believe Facilities is built around people, visibility and execution—not dashboards and governance. Because the best Facilities leaders are remembered for what they build, not what they report.
Cultural fit is hugely important because you'll play a central role in shaping the future of the Facilities function as the business continues to grow. We're looking for someone who's relentlessly positive, emotionally intelligent and genuinely enjoys bringing out the best in people. Someone who leads from the front, earns respect through action rather than authority and believes the strongest teams are built through trust, visibility and shared purpose. You'll have spent years leading sizeable multi-site operations where the quality of the estate directly influences the customer experience.
If your proudest achievements are the teams you've built, the standards you've created and the environments you've transformed—not simply the compliance you've maintained—then we would love to see your CV.
