Head of Facilities Management

Our client is a growing property consultancy with an established presence across the North West, managing a diverse portfolio of commercial assets on behalf of landlords, investors and occupiers. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Head of Facilities Management to lead, develop and expand their Facilities Management offering.

This is a unique opportunity to build and shape a standalone FM division, creating a profitable service line while taking ownership of compliance, operational delivery, client relationships and business development. The successful candidate will join the senior leadership team and play a key role in the future growth of the business.

Your new role

As Head of Facilities Management, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the FM strategy, growing the client base and establishing a market-leading Facilities Management service.

You will lead the delivery of Hard and Soft FM services across a varied commercial property portfolio comprising office, industrial and retail assets, ensuring the highest standards of compliance, governance and customer service. Alongside operational leadership, you will be responsible for identifying new revenue opportunities, supporting business development initiatives and building long-term relationships with clients, landlords and investors.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
