Head of Facilities Management
W Talent Property & Real Estate are supporting a market leading organisation to appoint an exciting opportunity. They are hiring a Head of Facilities Management to own the delivery of the facilities management function across a geographically spread portfolio of commercial sites. This role will involve site travel around the UK, as well as operating from a local office (determined by where you live).
The facilities & property function has a great culture and a strong track record of high retention rates which is a testament to the working environment within this organisation and department.
About the Role
Our client are seeking an experienced facilities and property leader to own the delivery of technical facilities services across a complex, critical portfolio spread around the UK. This includes large commercial sites and the national HQ. You will lead a team of Facilities Managers + support staff to ensure the estate is safe, compliant and efficient.

Key Responsibilities
- People management - You'll be responsible for an operational team that are based around the UK. (Experience managing remotely and strong leadership skills is essential!)
- Technical experience - You will require strong, significant technical expertise and experience and be responsible for planned & reactive maintenance, minor projects, CAFM platform management. (Technical qualifications such as CIBSE, CIOB or RICS are essential!)
- Budget management - You'll be responsible for multi-million operational budgets. This includes day-to-day financials, budget planning, cost reduction, optimisations etc.
- Additional responsibilities includes compliance, risk, sustainability, utilities and contractor management.

About You
Essential experience and qualifications includes
- Experience managing remotely (geographically dispersed team etc.)
- Strong people leadership skills (leading Facilities Managers etc.)
- Technical qualifications - RICS, CIOB, Surveying or CIBSE essential
- Leading facilities services across complex commercial portfolios
- Responsibility for seven-figure budgets
- Managing national contractor networks
- Strong compliance, health, safety and risk knowledge
- Managing sustainability, utilities etc.
