At OQC, we aren't just theorising about the future; we're building it. Born from a philosophy of bold innovation, we've successfully transitioned quantum computing from an academic dream into a commercial reality. The most exciting thing is that we're just getting started and we've recently closed our £260 million Series C funding round - the largest fundraise ever completed by a quantum computing company in Europe.

The Purpose

As Head of Facilities Management, you'll own the environments that enable OQC's people and technology to thrive. Leading our Facilities Management function across our headquarters and global commercial sites, you'll ensure our workplaces are safe, secure, reliable and ready to support OQC's continued international growth.

The Role

Sitting within Engineering Operations, you'll take ownership of facilities across OQC's headquarters in Reading and our commercial sites in London, Tokyo and New York, as well as supporting the setup and operation of future global locations. You'll lead everything from facilities strategy, safety and maintenance through to budgets, leases, suppliers and operational projects, building a scalable FM capability for a rapidly growing deep-tech business.

This remit excludes OQC's manufacturing site in Barcelona.

What You'll Be Working On

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
