Lead the Curriculum That Changes Lives

Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking an exceptional educational leader to take the helm of one of our most influential curriculum areas as Head of Faculty for English, Maths & ESOL. This is far more than a leadership role. It is an opportunity to transform lives, shape futures, and drive excellence across a faculty that sits at the heart of learner success.

As one of the largest and most ambitious providers of Further and Higher Education in the region, we deliver learning across our campuses in Chippenham, Lackham, Salisbury and Trowbridge, serving diverse communities and supporting learners from every background to unlock their potential. Supported by dedicated Deputy Heads at each campus, you will lead a high-profile faculty that has a direct impact on progression, employability, social mobility and lifelong learning.

Working closely with the Executive Director and college leadership teams, you will set the strategic direction for English, Mathematics and ESOL provision, champion innovation, drive outstanding outcomes, and inspire colleagues to achieve excellence.

This is a rare opportunity to shape curriculum strategy on a significant scale while making a meaningful difference to thousands of learners across Wiltshire.

Why This Role Matters

English, Maths and ESOL are transformational subjects. They open doors, build confidence, create opportunities and provide the foundation for future success.

As Head of Faculty, you will:

  • Drive an ambitious vision for curriculum excellence across all campuses.
  • Lead innovative approaches to teaching, learning and learner engagement.
  • Champion inclusion and widen participation for learners from diverse communities.
  • Develop curriculum provision that responds to local, regional and national priorities.
  • Build strong partnerships with schools, employers, community organisations and key stakeholders.
  • Create a culture where colleagues thrive and learners exceed expectations.

Your leadership will help shape the future of education across Wiltshire and beyond.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
