Experienced Field Operations Leader Wanted

Are you an experienced Field Operations leader with a passion for driving operational excellence, health & safety, and customer satisfaction? Join ASSA ABLOY Biosite’s team, based in Solihull, and enjoy a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and continuous improvement.

Note that the position involves travel on a national level, alongside presence at the office.

What you would do as our Head of Field Operations

As a Head of Field Operations, reporting to the UK Managing Director, you will lead the strategic planning and delivery of Biosite’s field operations across the UK. You will be responsible for the safe and effective deployment of field resources, overseeing installation, service delivery, scheduling, fleet management, and operational performance. The role plays a key part in ensuring customer commitments are met while driving continuous improvement, compliance, and commercial performance across the operation.

You would also be responsible for:

• Lead and develop field-based teams, supervisors, and technical account managers, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Own health and safety across field operations, ensuring full compliance with legislation, industry standards, company policies, and customer requirements.
• Manage operational planning, forecasting, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure efficient service delivery, achievement of project milestones, and adherence to customer SLAs.
• Monitor operational and financial performance, including KPIs, budgets, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives, to support business growth and profitability.
• Drive operational transformation and process improvements, working cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Operations teams to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

• Has proven experience leading field operations, field service, or multi-site operational teams within a technical, construction, engineering, or related environment.
• Demonstrates strong leadership capability, with experience managing managers, supervisors, and field-based teams through periods of growth, change, or transformation.
• Has a strong understanding of health and safety management, operational compliance, and workforce planning, supported by relevant H&S qualifications.
• Possesses strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, forecasting, resource planning, and operational performance metrics.
• Is an excellent communicator and stakeholder manager, able to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams while effectively managing escalations and driving continuous improvement.
