Head of Finance

Location: Central London

About the Client

Founded in 2017, our client is a rapidly growing luxury ecommerce wholesale brand. Currently generates £10 million in revenue, with a clear strategic roadmap to scale to £50 million over the coming years.

The Opportunity

Following a comprehensive operational review led by a newly appointed CFO, the business is restructuring its central finance function. To drive this next phase of stabilization and growth, the brand is seeking a hands-on, highly analytical Head of Finance to take full ownership of core accounting functions, the control environment, and monthly reporting routines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Month-End Close: Lead and execute the complete month-end process, ensuring accurate revenue recognition across e-commerce and retail channels, timely balance sheet reconciliations, and strict reporting deadlines.
  • Financial Control & Analysis: Build and maintain robust financial models, taking direct ownership of budgeting, multi-currency cash flow forecasting, and operational FP&A.
  • Systems & Data Integrity: Partner with external systems consultants to ensure seamless, accurate data flow between Shopify, retail POS systems, and Xero.
  • Audit Management: Manage key relationships with external auditors, preparing audit-ready schedules and supporting working papers.
  • Team Leadership: Work alongside a newly appointed Qualified Finance Manager, elevating technical accounting standards and process discipline across the wider team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
