Head of Finance
We have partnered with a growing real estate investment business to appoint a newly created Head of Finance role. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance leader to join a business at a key stage of its growth journey and play a pivotal role in shaping the finance function.
Working closely with the executive leadership team, you will take ownership of financial reporting, commercial planning, cash management, governance and strategic decision support. The role offers significant exposure to fundraising initiatives, transaction activity and senior stakeholder engagement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys operating at both a strategic and hands-on level.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and develop the finance function, establishing scalable processes, controls and reporting frameworks.
- Deliver accurate monthly management accounts, financial analysis and performance insights for senior leadership.
- Own budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning across the business.
- Provide commercial support and financial guidance to support strategic growth initiatives.
- Build and maintain robust financial models to support business planning and investment decisions.
- Partner with external advisors, auditors, tax specialists and other professional stakeholders.
- Prepare board-level financial reporting and present key financial information to senior decision-makers.
- Support equity and debt fundraising activities, including financial modelling, investor reporting and due diligence preparation.
- Coordinate and manage finance workstreams for acquisitions, investments and other corporate transactions.
- Oversee financial data rooms and support responses to investor, lender and advisor requests throughout transaction processes.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, business cases and growth initiatives through detailed financial analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting and operational processes.

What we’re looking for:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Demonstrable experience leading or significantly contributing to a finance function.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
- Experience supporting fundraising, refinancing, M&A activity, due diligence or transaction processes would be highly advantageous.
- Commercially minded with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights.
