Your new company is a well-established and highly respected charitable organisation based in Lancashire. Through a diverse range of community focused programmes, partnerships and funded initiatives, they deliver meaningful support and positive outcomes across the region. With a strong reputation and ambitious plans for the future, the organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join its senior leadership team.
Your new role
In your new role reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with the Board of Trustees, the Head of Finance will lead the organisation's finance function and provide strategic financial leadership across both the charity and its trading subsidiary. This broad and high-profile role will combine financial stewardship, governance, commercial support and operational leadership, ensuring the organisation remains financially sustainable while continuing to deliver impact within the communities it serves. As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will contribute to strategic decision-making, support organisational growth and provide financial insight to key stakeholders across the business.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA with proven experience operating in a senior finance leadership position. You will have strong technical accounting knowledge, alongside extensive experience of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and statutory accounts preparation. Candidates should be confident presenting financial information to senior leadership teams, boards or trustees and possess the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels. Strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving will be essential. Experience of improving financial controls, implementing new processes and enhancing reporting capabilities is highly desirable. Previous exposure to the charity, not-for-profit, education, public sector or grant-funded environments would be advantageous, although applications from high calibre candidates outside these sectors are also welcomed.
