About the Company

Our client is an innovative and ambitious business operating at the intersection of engineering, technology, and sustainability. With a reputation for delivering exceptional quality and driving innovation within its sector, the company is experiencing an exciting period of growth and transformation.

Combining technical expertise with a passion for excellence, the business is committed to developing market-leading solutions while fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking culture. Employees are empowered to make a real impact, contribute new ideas, and play a key role in shaping the future direction of the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business where finance is viewed as a strategic partner, supporting commercial decision-making and enabling continued success.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the senior leadership team, the Head of Finance will take ownership of the entire finance function. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys operating in ambitious, fast-growing businesses where they can influence strategy while remaining close to the detail.

You'll be responsible for ensuring robust financial controls, delivering accurate reporting, supporting strategic decision-making, managing cash flow, and helping prepare the business for future growth and investment.

This role is ideally suited to someone who has previously led finance within a growing SME of approximately 20–50 employees, where they've taken responsibility for the full finance function and partnered closely with business leaders to support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end finance function.
  • Produce accurate monthly management accounts and board reports.
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Develop financial models and provide commercial insight to support strategic decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain effective financial controls, policies, and governance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
