The Role
We’re looking for a commercially focused Head of Finance to lead our finance function and support the next stage of business growth.
Reporting to the CFO, you’ll oversee day-to-day finance, strengthen controls and reporting, and provide meaningful insight to help the business make better decisions. You’ll also manage and develop a Management Accountant.
This role suit either a Finance Manager looking for a step up, or an FC / HoF looking to take more ownership in a broad role.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day finance function and month-end close.
- Partner with commercial and operational teams to support decision-making.
- Improve management reporting, profitability analysis and financial controls.
- Own stock, COGS, margin and inventory reporting.
- Develop forecasting, financial modelling and a rolling 13-week cash flow.
- Improve credit control and working-capital management.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate finance processes.
- Coach and develop the Management Accountant.

About You
- Ideally Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) but not essential.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including VAT and balance sheet controls.
- Experience in an inventory-led business, ideally FMCG, manufacturing, production or Retail.
- Good knowledge of stock, COGS and margin.
- Experience with forecasting, modelling and commercial analysis.
- A track record of improving finance processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- A proactive, practical approach and a willingness to get things done.
