Head of Finance

Equifind is partnering with an expanding hotel group to appoint a Head of Finance, responsible for the financial performance and reporting of its hotel portfolio. The successful candidate will report to the Finance Director and play a central role in supporting property teams and driving commercial results.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting and Financial Analysis:

  • Own the monthly close process for hotels, reviewing property P&Ls and providing clear commentary on performance, with a genuine interest in digging into results and shaping recovery plans where needed.
  • Track profitability and financial KPIs, benchmarking against internal and external data to flag emerging trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Lead the reforecasting and budgeting cycles for the portfolio, ensuring plans reflect the wider business strategy.
  • Produce and deliver clear, consistent financial reporting for senior leadership and stakeholders across the region.

Business Partnering:

  • Be the go-to finance contact for General Managers, resolving problems quickly to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Work alongside operational leaders to shape financial strategy, build business cases for new investment, and see initiatives through to delivery.
  • Contribute financial and commercial input into supplier negotiations, tenders and procurement decisions.

  • Maintain strong financial controls to ensure accurate transaction reporting across the estate.
  • Sign off transactions and payments in line with approved authority levels.
  • Raise the level of financial literacy across the business, ensuring teams understand and follow risk and control requirements.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A qualified accountant with 7+ years post-qualification experience
  • Hotels sector experience is essential
  • A strong track record of leading and developing finance teams
  • Confident user of ERP systems and advanced Excel, comfortable turning data into clear financial insight
