Head of Finance

Based in Kingston-upon-Thames, Hybrid (2 days on-site)
Permanent
£60,000 - £70,000

We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Head of Finance to lead the day-to-day finance function while providing high-quality financial insight and strategic support to the Senior Management Team. The successful Head of Finance will play a key role in enhancing financial systems, strengthening controls, and improving reporting processes, driving efficiency and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation.

Head of Finance - Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quarterly management accounts, annual budgets and forecasts including variance analysis and financial insight
  • Work closely with the senior management team to monitor financial performance, manage expenditure, and improve financial accountability
  • Complete reconciliations and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Calculate annual rents and service charges
  • Monitor capital expenditure and support financial planning and control for significant investment programmes
  • Produce year-end statutory accounts and supporting information for the external audit, maintaining high standards of financial governance
  • Manage and support one member of staff

  • Comfortable working in a small organisation where you will need to be both strategic and hands-on
  • Housing sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential
