Role Description

You will own and manage our quote-to-cash cycle, finance operations, and accounting function with decision making authority on what should be in-housed, outsourced, and automated. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own and manage the full quote-to-cash cycle including:
    • Quote & contract structure
    • Managing our invoicing system & generating invoices
    • Collections & cash application
    • Revenue recognition & the close
    • Working with engineers / data scientists to implement new invoicing models for usage-based pricing agreements
  • Drive automation of repetitive tasks
  • Use AI finance solutions and leverage our technical staff to run a highly automated, lean finance function
  • Support new system implementations and accounting tool integrations
  • Manage finance operations, internal controls & compliance including:
    • Cash management across entities and currencies
    • Intercompany management: recharges, balances, funding flows and transfer pricing documentation with our advisors
    • Tax and statutory compliance
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP / IFRS, company policies, and regulatory requirements
    • Lead external audits and coordinate with auditors for timely completion
    • Provide guidance on treatment for accounting issues
    • Draft and maintain accounting policies and memos for key transactions
  • Oversee our accounting and reporting (managing management account and / or external service providers):
    • Financial statement preparation in accordance with US GAAP / IFRS (for UK entity)
    • Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
    • Managing on-going accounting activities including AP, AR, payroll accounting, and cash management
  • Keep Junior financing-ready and support fundraising
    • Opportunity to support in leading fundraising rounds
  • Own customer-facing financial diligence
  • Own banking and credit facility relationships
  • FP&A and business operations
    • Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and cross-functional leaders to provide analysis and insights
    • Support budget vs. actual variance analysis

About You

8+ years of finance experience including high-growth SaaS startup; 2+ years of finance leadership experience:

  • Holds accounting certification (e.g. ACA/ACCA/CIMA or CPA)
  • 8+ years of combined experience including:
    • 5+ years of experience at high growth SaaS startup(s)
    • 2+ years of experience managing complex quote-to-cash structures
  • bonus points for:
    • 2+ years of experience as sole finance hire / head of finance
    • career start at top public accounting firm
  • Versed in complex quote-to-cash structures: Junior uses highly bespoke usage-based pricing models with significant variation across customers and product lines — you will need to be versed in handling complex usage based pricing / quote-to-cash structures
  • An owner: able to design / implement accounting processes for the ground-up
  • Proficient in US GAAP, familiarity with IFRS and/or UK GAAP
  • Flexible in approach — willing / able to be flexible and build an accounting system that fits to our business
  • AI-native: daily user of LLMs such as Claude and familiar with AI finance tools
