Role: Head of Finance
Location: Wokingham
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hybrid: 3 days per week in office
The Opportunity
Mackie Myers is recruiting a Head of Finance for a high-growth SME based in Wokingham. This is an opportunity to take ownership of the finance function and help the business build the reporting, insight and processes it needs for its next stage of growth.
The role will suit someone who enjoys the breadth of an SME position: staying close to the numbers while working with senior leaders on commercial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day finance function and deliver accurate, timely management information.
- Own budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning, giving the leadership team a clear view of performance.
- Provide commercial analysis that supports decisions on growth, costs and investment.
- Strengthen financial controls, reporting and processes as the business scales.
- Work closely with colleagues across the business to turn financial information into practical insight.
- Finance business partner with operations teams to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting.

The Successful Candidate
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience leading finance in an SME or similarly fast-moving environment. You will be comfortable balancing hands-on delivery with a wider commercial view, and able to explain the numbers clearly to people outside finance.
You will bring sound judgement, a proactive approach and the confidence to improve how finance operates as the business grows.
