Head of Finance

Location: Daytona Sandown Park, More Lane, Esher, Surrey, KT10 8AN
Department: Venue Operations
Reporting to: General Manager
Hours: Full-time, Permanent

Daytona is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead financial reporting, forecasting and control across the Group. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role ensures the business has clear visibility of financial performance, EBITDA, cashflow and key financial commitments.

Daytona is the UK's leading karting operator, delivering exceptional motorsport experiences across multiple venues. From corporate events and endurance racing to arrive-and-drive karting and championship competition, Daytona sits at the forefront of the industry, combining a strong customer proposition with ambitious commercial objectives.

As we continue to develop the business, we are seeking a Head of Finance to lead our finance function and act as a trusted adviser to the CEO and senior leadership team.

The Role

This is a hands-on finance leadership role with real ownership and visibility across the business.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for ensuring the business has accurate, timely and reliable financial information to support decision-making. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cashflow management and financial control across the Group, whilst managing a small finance team.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being close to the numbers, takes pride in accuracy, and is motivated by producing financial information that senior leaders can rely upon with confidence.

This role will suit an individual who combines strong technical finance expertise with commercial awareness, curiosity and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Group's financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Deliver accurate management accounts, financial analysis and performance reporting.
  • Maintain reliable forecasts for revenue, EBITDA, cashflow and capital expenditure.
  • Ensure contracts, leases, commercial commitments and cost changes are accurately reflected within financial reporting and forecasts.
  • Provide meaningful financial insight and challenge to support business performance.
  • Maintain strong financial controls, governance and compliance.
  • Lead and develop the finance team.
  • Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to support decision-making and drive accountability across the business.

About You

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Experienced finance leader with a background in a multi-site leisure, hospitality, retail or visitor attraction business.
  • Strong technical capability across financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to interpret data and provide practical business insight.
  • Highly organised, analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Enjoys working with numbers and taking ownership of financial performance.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and responding to changing business priorities.
  • Demonstrates integrity, accountability and professionalism in everything you do.
