Hybrid working (3 days on site)
Equifind are delighted to be partnering with a Logistics business based in Windsor, who are looking to recruit a qualified Head of Finance who will report to the Finance Director. This is an exciting and newly created position and you will manage a team of 5 qualified accountants (and 20 indirectly).
If you’re energised by change, confident challenging the status quo, and motivated by building high-performing teams, this is a rare opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a respected, stable business.
The role would suit someone with a strong technical accounting background, confident across statutory accounting, IFRS, and consolidations, combined with strong people leadership skills and a genuine appetite for transformation and change. You'll need to have experience working within a large multi-entity business (ideally £250-300mil T/O) with experience of lease and asset accounting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
