About Begame
Begame is a dynamic small to medium sized gambling operator behind established soft gaming brands including FruitKings, PeachyGames and Bingostars.
Operating within the fast-paced and continually evolving iGaming sector, we are looking for an experienced Head of Finance to join the business on a permanent basis and take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of our Finance function.
The Role
This is a broad, hands-on senior Finance role and we are looking for an established Head of Finance who can quickly get up to speed, take ownership and make an immediate contribution.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day operation of Finance, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, strong financial controls and effective cashflow management across a multi-entity and international business.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
- Ownership and oversight of monthly management accounts and month-end processes
- Cashflow management, forecasting and financial reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
- Intercompany and multi-entity accounting
- Statutory reporting and audit preparation
- Budgeting, reforecasting and variance analysis in partnership with the CFO
- Oversight of relevant tax and regulatory Finance requirements
- Leadership, support and development of the Finance team
- Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business
- Supporting Finance transformation, systems improvements and wider business change initiatives

What we are looking for
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 3 years' proven experience operating at Head of Finance level, or in an equivalent senior Finance leadership position
- Strong hands-on management accounting, reporting and month-end experience
- Proven experience leading and managing a Finance team
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management experience
- Experience working across multiple entities and/or international jurisdictions
- Statutory reporting and external audit experience
- Experience using SAGE and associated Finance systems
- Advanced Excel and strong financial systems/reporting capability
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on capacity within a fast-moving SME environment

Previous experience within iGaming, online gambling, gaming or another regulated, high-volume B2C environment would be highly advantageous.
We are looking for someone who is hands on, accountable, pragmatic and collaborative; someone who can establish credibility quickly, operate comfortably close to the detail and provide strong day-to-day leadership across Finance.
