🚀 Head of Finance | High-Growth Wellness Start-Up | £90–100k + Bonus | UK Remote

I’m working with a seriously exciting wellness start-up that is looking to hire its first permanent Head of Finance, someone who will have the opportunity to build the entire finance function from the ground up.

This is not a traditional Head of Finance role. They’re looking for someone who wants to roll up their sleeves, build infrastructure, improve processes and become a key part of the leadership team as the business scales.

The opportunity:

  • 🧱 Build the finance function from scratch
  • 📊 Own the data, reporting and commercial insight across the business
  • 💰 Streamline and improve the AR / collections process
  • ⚙️ Build scalable processes, controls and reporting
  • 💻 Own and optimise the finance tech stack
  • 🚀 Work across a B2B + B2B2C business model
  • 🤝 Partner closely with an experienced, highly entrepreneurial founder
  • 📈 Huge opportunity to shape how finance evolves as the company scales

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
