Head of Finance

About the Role

This is a broad Head of Finance role, reporting to CFO, with responsibility for leading the finance function, strengthening financial controls, and providing the commercial insight needed to support continued growth.

The successful candidate will act as a key adviser to the CFO, Board and wider leadership team, turning financial information into clear commercial insight and helping the business improve performance, profitability, and cash generation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Own Group reporting, monthly management information, and consolidated accounts, providing clear insight to the CFO, Board, and senior leadership team.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring assumptions, risks, and opportunities are robust and commercially focused.
• Take responsibility for cash flow, working capital, and cash management, ensuring appropriate funding and strong cash discipline.
• Maintain and improve robust financial controls, governance, and compliance, including audit, tax, and statutory reporting.
• Drive improvements to finance systems, processes, and reporting, improving efficiency, data quality, and visibility across the business.
• Provide financial leadership to operational and overhead teams, challenging performance around cost control, margins, and cash conversion.
• Support strategic projects including acquisitions, integrations, disposals, and due diligence, providing financial analysis and commercial challenge.
• Manage relationships with external advisers including auditors, banks, tax advisers, and other key stakeholders.
