Are you a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys combining strategic influence with hands-on financial oversight?
We’re looking for an ambitious and forward-thinking Head of Finance to take ownership of the finance function, lead a talented team of five, and play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s financial performance and future direction. Based M4 corridor between Bridgend and Cardiff this role is far more than a traditional financial control position. You’ll be a trusted business partner to the board and SLT, bringing financial insight, commercial challenge and strategic thinking to key business decisions.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Provide clear direction to the finance team, developing capability, driving performance and fostering a culture of accountability.
- Ensure robust financial reporting, accurate management accounts, effective controls and strong financial processes.
- Oversee financial risk management, statutory obligations and tax compliance, ensuring the business remains protected and compliant.
- Maintain high standards of financial governance, compliance and internal control, supporting transparency and sound decision-making.
- Turn complex financial data into meaningful insight, evaluating business opportunities, challenging assumptions and identifying opportunities for improved profitability and growth.

You’ll be an experienced finance professional, ideally qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), with a proven track record of leading a finance function or managing a broad finance remit. You’ll combine technical financial expertise with commercial curiosity, leadership capability and the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who looks beyond the balance sheet, understands what drives business performance and enjoys making a tangible impact.
