Anderson Knight are delighted to be representing our client on a retained search for a new Head of Finance.
This is a high impact leadership role responsible for shaping the finance function, strengthening financial controls and providing the commercial insight required to support business growth and operational performance.
Reporting into the Managing Director, you will lead all aspects of finance, ensuring accurate reporting, robust governance, effective cashflow management and scalable processes across a diverse portfolio of business units. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with a hands on approach and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
The Role
As Head of Finance, you will lead and develop a high performing finance team while ensuring the business has the financial visibility, controls and insight required to make informed decisions and achieve its growth objectives.
You will play a key role in translating business priorities into clear financial plans, meaningful management information and effective governance frameworks that support sustainable long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and deliver the finance strategy in line with business objectives and growth plans.
- Provide strategic financial leadership and commercial support to senior stakeholders.
- Drive financial discipline, accountability and continuous improvement across the business.
- Support business planning, investment decisions and long-term growth initiatives.

Financial Reporting & Control
- Lead all financial accounting, reporting and control activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
- Own management accounts, business unit P&L reporting and performance analysis.
- Maintain strong financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks.
- Oversee audit, statutory reporting and taxation requirements.
Commercial Finance & Business Partnering
- Partner with operational and functional leaders to drive business performance.
- Deliver meaningful financial analysis, forecasting and commercial insight.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiencies and operational performance.
Cashflow, Risk & Governance
- Lead cashflow forecasting and working capital management.
- Ensure effective management of financial risk, compliance and governance.
- Strengthen controls around expenditure, approvals, balance sheet integrity and reconciliations.
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks and external advisers.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Review, standardise and improve finance processes across the business.
- Drive reporting improvements and increase the quality and accessibility of management information.
- Ensure documented procedures, controls and governance frameworks remain robust and scalable.
- Support system and process enhancements to improve efficiency and business performance.

About You
We are seeking a commercially minded finance leader with the ability to operate strategically while remaining close to the detail.
You will bring:
- CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant senior finance leadership experience.
- Strong technical accounting, reporting and financial control expertise.
- Proven experience improving finance processes, controls and systems.
- Excellent commercial acumen and analytical capability.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, hands on approach with the ability to influence and drive change.
