MCS Executive has been appointed by Keys Finance to hire a Head of Finance & Commercial Control

A key senior appointment within an established and ambitious specialist finance business.

Keys Finance operates across the UK and Ireland and is entering an important phase of growth, with annual lending of approximately £80m and an ambition to grow beyond £200m over the next three years. This role will be central to ensuring that growth is properly funded, commercially controlled and supported by strong financial insight.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the Board, this is a broader role than a traditional financial reporting position. The successful candidate will lead the finance function while taking ownership of treasury and funding oversight, forecasting, commercial analysis, profitability, management information and finance transformation.

The opportunity

You will:

  • Lead the finance function, budgeting, forecasting and board-level reporting
  • Strengthen treasury, cash flow, funding and financial controls
  • Provide commercial challenge around pricing, margin and profitability
  • Improve management information and turn financial data into actionable insight
  • Support strategic decision-making across the business
  • Drive improvements in finance systems, automation and processes
  • Manage and develop the existing team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
