Are you passionate about transforming Finance, Procurement and Shared Services functions to deliver greater efficiency, value and impact?
Join Sopra Steria’s newly formed Transformative Business Services (TBS) Consulting practice as our Head of Finance & Business Services Transformation and play a leading role in shaping a new consulting capability from the ground up.
This is a senior, market-facing leadership role combining business development, consulting delivery and practice growth. Working with CFOs, Finance Directors, Chief Procurement Officers and Transformation Leaders, you will help organisations redesign operating models, optimise business services and deliver large-scale transformation programmes powered by AI, technology and operational excellence.
You will lead major bids, win new business and oversee the delivery of complex Finance, Procurement, Shared Services and cost transformation programmes across the Public Sector, Financial Services and Utilities sectors. At the same time, you will build and lead a high-performing team, develop innovative propositions and establish Sopra Steria as a recognised leader in the market.

This role is hybrid variable, with regular travel to our offices (London, Newport or Salford) and client sites.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead and grow the Finance, Procurement & Shared Services Consulting practice, defining the vision, strategy, propositions and go-to-market approach.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with CFOs, Finance Directors, Chief Procurement Officers and other senior stakeholders, driving new business and account growth.
- Lead complex sales opportunities and major bids, overseeing the full lifecycle from qualification and solution design through to commercial negotiation and contract award.
- Deliver large-scale transformation programmes, ensuring successful implementation, stakeholder alignment and measurable business outcomes.
- Develop innovative consulting offerings, methodologies and thought leadership that combine advisory, technology and operational delivery capabilities.
- Build and lead a high-performing consulting team, owning capability development, recruitment, performance, revenue growth and profitability.

What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience leading large-scale Finance, Procurement, Shared Services or cost transformation programmes, delivering measurable business, operational and financial outcomes.
- Strong business development track record, with an established network of senior stakeholders and a demonstrable ability to win new business, lead bids and secure complex consulting engagements.
- Deep expertise across Finance and Procurement processes, including FP&A, Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Treasury and revenue management.
- Experience designing and implementing operating models, shared services and global business services (GBS), alongside process re-engineering, change management and performance improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of AI, automation, ERP transformation (SAP, Oracle, Workday), digital procurement platforms and data-driven decision making within Finance functions.
- Proven ability to build and grow consulting capabilities, including developing propositions, creating methodologies, recruiting and coaching teams, and taking new offerings to market.

Location: Candidates can be anywhere, but must be able to travel on average 3 days per week, this will either be to our offices (London, Salford or Newport) or client site

Salary: Up to £110k depending on experience
Benefits: 20% bonus, £6,600 car allowance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, private medical, life assurance, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund.
