About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Finance to lead the finance function within our Central Business Unit. Reporting to the Operational Finance Director and working as part of the Finance Leadership Team, this role will play a pivotal part in shaping financial strategy, driving performance, and supporting key business decisions.

You will partner closely with senior operational stakeholders, including the Managing Director and Sales Director, providing insight and leadership to deliver strategic objectives and sustainable growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Act as the senior finance lead for the central division, ensuring strong financial governance and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Interpret and communicate financial performance, including trends, risks, and variances against plans.
  • Produce and present high-quality monthly reports for senior management and the Board.
  • Deliver weekly KPI reporting (including sales and installations) to senior leadership.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including new business, growth initiatives, and cost optimisation plans.
  • Drive deep-dive financial and operational analysis to enhance decision-making and business performance.
  • Implement and improve financial processes, particularly around working capital and cash generation.
  • Partner with Business Development to evaluate new opportunities and commercial initiatives.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to strengthen planning cycles and reporting outputs.
  • Develop innovative and insightful financial reporting, including KPI frameworks.
  • Track initiatives and synergies against budget and forecast.
  • Identify, evaluate, and monitor business risks and opportunities.
  • Support audits, internal controls, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Deliver ad hoc financial modelling and contribute to long-term business planning.

What You’ll Bring

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) with approximately 10+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in management reporting, forecasting, and planning within a multi-site organisation.
  • Experience working in a private equity-backed or fast-paced environment with demanding targets.
  • Comfortable operating within a matrix structure and collaborating across multiple functions.
  • Experience with ERP systems and an interest in leveraging technology (including AI) to improve efficiency.
