Head of Finance & Commercial Excellence
Do you want to be part of the team that leads one of our most successful regions and take it into the next chapter?
With a long-established, market-leading position in laryngectomy care and a rapidly expanding tracheostomy offering, our UK organisation is recognised for its clinical excellence, trusted patient relationships, and strong partnerships with NHS professionals. We have recently transitioned into the Coloplast UK organisation, and we are looking for an exceptional Finance leader who can help us elevate our performance.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the next phase of a high-performing business unit that is already setting the standard for airway management across the UK.
The Role
We are seeking a Head of Finance and Commercial Excellence to lead our recently integrated function. Based in Nottingham and responsible for a team of approximately 16 people, you will deliver high-quality financial and performance insights while ensuring adherence to strong accounting practices.
Collaboration and transparency in financial reporting with our Finance teams in Sweden and Denmark will be essential.
This role leads the UK Finance & Business Support functions, driving commercial excellence and providing the commercial insight needed to influence revenue growth and strategic decisions. You will play a key role in shaping the UK business strategy, leading annual planning and forecasting, and partner closely with the UK Leadership Team to deliver priorities and maintain strong engagement. You’ll ensure robust financial control, oversee business support operations, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders. The role also owns performance management, delivers high-quality management information, and builds a high-performing Finance & Commercial Excellence team to support future growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
