Head of Finance – Commercial & FP&A
CMC Consulting are recruiting on behalf of an organisation responsible for delivering a large project, this is a senior finance leadership position focused on establishing a high-performing FP&A and commercial finance function from the ground up. Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will shape financial strategy, provide insight to senior stakeholders and support the long-term financial sustainability of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the FP&A and commercial finance function, developing the team, processes and capabilities required to support future growth.
- Own the organisation's financial planning framework, including long-range modelling, annual budgets, forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Develop robust cash flow, liquidity and funding forecasts, ensuring senior leadership has clear visibility of future financial requirements.
- Lead financial modelling and analysis around the organisation's pricing and charging framework, ensuring assumptions remain commercially sound and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial insight into initiatives designed to improve operational performance and consumer participation, tracking progress against key targets.
- Translate operational plans and strategic objectives into clear financial plans, forecasts and performance measures.
- Prepare high-quality financial analysis and insight for the Board, CFO and Senior Leadership Team, supporting strategic decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with external stakeholders and industry partners, providing financial analysis to support consultation and commercial discussions.

Key Requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- 10+ years' finance experience, ideally including senior FP&A, commercial finance or strategic planning responsibility.
- Demonstrable experience of building and developing an FP&A or financial planning function, including teams, processes and organisational capability.
- Strong financial modelling, forecasting and analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear commercial recommendations.
- Experience within the drinks, FMCG, retail, supply chain or logistics
- A strategic thinker who is equally comfortable building the underlying processes and operating at senior leadership level.
